Pedro Fernandes joined Itaú BBA in 2002, with a previous professional experience at Procter & Gamble, in France. Since his commencement at Itaú BBA, Fernandes has worked in several areas such as: Credit Department, Corporate Client coverage and leaded the Financial Sponsors team.

In 2012, Fernandes joined Itau´s partnership program as a junior partner and was promoted to managing director in 2014, having already served this role in the south region of Brazil and in the countryside of São Paulo’s state. Since 2017, Fernandes has been serving as head of Itaú BBA’s  Agribusiness Department. Fernandes holds a degree in Production Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP, with a specialization at École Centrale de Paris.
