40 years’ experience in the electrical sector, working for Siemens and General Electric. Electrical Engineer, graduated from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo – USP. In 1997 he attended the International Management course at Babson College in Boston, USA.
In 1981 and 1982 he worked at Siemens AG, Germany, in the areas of distribution and hydroelectric generation. Until 1991, he led the implementation of Siemens’ major hydroelectric projects, such as the Itaipú and Xingó HPPs.
After experience in the areas of medium voltage and automation of electrical systems and sales of hydro generators in South America, he took over the leadership of Industrial Systems in Latin America at GE. Returning to Siemens after five years, he led the Energy Sector until he retired in 2012.
Since 2014 he has chaired the Association of the Energy Cogeneration Industry – COGEN.
