Juliana Albertengo belongs to a farming family. She holds an Agronomic Engineer degree from the National University of Rosario and an MSc in Agronomy from Iowa State University. She is an expert in Conservation Agriculture and sustainable certification schemes. She has worked for AAPRESID (Argentinean No-Till Farmers Association), as a consultant for FAO, Solidaridad, The Coca Cola Company, IFC, among others. She has also served as a facilitator during the implementation of many certification schemes in Argentinean farms. She led a project in Peru to propose alternatives to Open Burning for ICCI and is now leading a similar one in Ecuador. She has also worked in Bolivia, Italy and Cuba. She speaks Spanish, Italian, English and French and lives in San Jorge, Santa Fe, Argentina.
