André Cury was appointed Head of Latin America for Citi Commercial Bank in March 2023. He also serves as a member of the Citi Commercial Bank Executive Committee and the Citi Latam Operating Committee. Cury has more than 24 years’ experience in the banking sector and joined Citi in 2006, in São Paulo, where he held various positions in Corporate Banking. Before joining Citi, André worked for seven years at BankBoston, where he began his career as a trainee and held positions in Credit Research, Markets and Corporate Banking, both in Brazil and in the United States. From 2009 to 2013, André led teams at HSBC and Itaú BBA.

Cury returned to Citi in 2013 as Industry Head in Corporate & Investment Banking in Brazil. In September 2017, he was appointed CoHead of Brazil Corporate Banking and, in January 2021, he was appointed Brazil Commercial Bank Head.

Born in Piracicaba, São Paulo, Cury holds a master’s degree in Finance and Economics and a degree in Business Administration from the Getulio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo, as well as a law degree from the University of São Paulo. He has a daughter, Sofia, and is a soccer fan.
