Agustín Torroba has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Energies from the University of Buenos Aires. He also holds a Diploma in Energy Economics and Energy Planning. Additionally, he is a Diploma holder in Renewable Energy Project Assessment and Storage from the University of the Center for Macroeconomic Studies of Buenos Aires (UCEMA).

He worked as an advisor at the former Ministry of Energy and Mining of the Argentine Nation and served as the National Director of Biofuels. He has authored various specialized papers, books, and book chapters on biofuels and energy. Moreover, he acts as a guest lecturer at the University of Buenos Aires and the Austral University.

Currently, Agustín Torroba serves as an International Specialist in Biofuels and Renewable Energies at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), a specialized institute of the Organization of American States (OAS). He also holds the position of Technical and Executive Secretary of the Pan-American Coalition of Liquid Biofuels (CPBIO).
