Mr. Eltayeb has more than 32 years of experience in strategic and operational management,
project initialization, assessment and delivery worldwide. In 2001, he joined Kenana
Engineering and Technical Services company in Sudan, leading the company in various
aspects. For 10 years, 2007 – 2017, he was the General Manager of the company expanding
its business in many countries in East and West Africa in engineering and project delivery
consulting services in the agribusiness, with focus on sugarcane industry. During his tenure, he
supported various African governments in developing their strategic and long-term plans in
sugar industry in Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, and Mauritania.
During the nineties, he spent six years with CH2M Hill in the USA, executing various projects
in USA, Canada, South America, Russia, and the Far East.
Currently, he runs his own consulting firm KEPM Projects, providing consulting services in the
sugarcane industry for various companies in Africa and the Gulf Area. He is the co-founder of
the Africa Sugar Development Taskforce Initiative and the current Executive Officer.
He is also, the Agribusiness Strategy Advisor for ICCIA which is the Chamber of Commerce,
Industry and Agriculture for 57 countries around the globe.
He is a PMP, with master’s degree from Washington State University, USA in civil and
environmental engineering and a post-graduate degree in Agribusiness.
