Graduated in Law from Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (PUC-GO), he became an entrepreneur at 18 when he started his first company, and since then, he has built a solid and successful career in the private sector, especially in industry.

In 2011, he entered public life, balancing his careers, and during this period, he gained extensive experience in the public sector, holding significant positions in Goiás as Secretary of Industry and Commerce, Federal Deputy, and President of the Housing Agency; in São Paulo as Secretary of State for Metropolitan Transportation; and in Brasília with an impressive role in the Chamber of Deputies, having been the leader of the largest party bloc in the House, President of Permanent and Provisional Committees, reported on over 20 legislative matters (such as repatriation and other economic issues), and was awarded as one of the five most influential parliamentarians in Congress in 2017. He served as Minister of State for Cities, overseeing the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program, Urban Mobility nationwide, and was a signatory of the Basic Sanitation Regulatory Framework and creator of the Digital Driver’s License in Brazil.

In the private sector, he serves on various company boards across different economic segments. He is the Senior Vice President of BYD Brasil and the Head of BYD Auto Brasil.

Recently, he sold his packaging industry businesses, which he started over 18 years ago, becoming a market leader in each segment of activity.

Social work has always been a prominent aspect of Baldy’s life, a trait he learned from his father, Prosecutor Joel Sant’Anna Braga, and his mother, Eulina Baldy de Sant’Anna. He is married to Luana Limírio Gonçalves Braga and is the father of Alexandre Filho and Cléo.

He currently stands out as one of the leading young intermediaries between private life and national politics.
