Rafael Abud has been working in the renewable energy sector for over 15 years. Currently, he works as FS’s CEO and has been working in the company since its foundation, leading all development stages – from startup to expansion – to become one of the largest ethanol companies in Brazil. Previously, Rafael was responsible for the development and management of all enterprises under Summit Agricultural Group management in Brazil, mainly those related to the operation of holdings in agricultural and renewable energy properties. Before joining the Summit and FS, Rafael founded JETBIO and BioVentures Brasil, where he headed projects in biodiesel production and processing technology, energy generation, production of energy crops and aircraft biofuels. He currently serves on the board of the Brazilian Corn Ethanol Union (UNEM), which he co-founded, and on the board of Sindalcool – MT, an association of the ethanol industry in Mato Grosso. Rafael has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from FAAP.
