Alejandro Bonilla Muñoz has a degree in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana de México.
His professional activity includes 24 years as part of the negotiating team for the Free Trade Agreements that Mexico has signed with countries in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
He is currently Head of Agreements and Negotiations at the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), where his responsibilities include:
– Supporting member countries’ negotiation processes on access to markets for goods, services and investments.
– Managing and designing trade intelligence tools.
– Providing technical assistance to the governments of the member countries in the administration and application of the Agreements in force and carrying out permanent monitoring of the commitments established therein.
– Analyzing, classifying and keeping up-to-date the information in the databases on import tariffs, nomenclature correlations, non-tariff measures, foreign trade regulations and tariff preferences negotiated in the signed agreements.
