Henrique Berbert de Amorim Neto is President of Fermentec, a company that offers integrated solutions for the sugar-energy sector, covering ethanol, sugar, energy, rum, and tequila. With over a decade of experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, he coordinates applied research and customized projects to improve the quality and competitiveness of products and processes globally.

At the same time, he is President of APLA (Local Alcohol Production Arrangement), where he leads the Brazil Sugarcane Bioenergy Solution Project in partnership with ApexBrasil. This strategic initiative fosters the development and internationalization of the sugarcane agro-industrial chain, promoting technologies, equipment, services, and participation in global trade shows and business rounds, boosting the sector’s competitiveness.

He serves as Technical Director of CMCT (Municipal Council for Science and Technology) and Advisor to ACIP (Commercial and Industrial Association of Piracicaba), connecting scientific and technological development to industry. He is a speaker and author of articles on topics relevant to the sector.

He holds an MBA in Administration and Organizations from FEA-USP, an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Abertay Dundee University (Scotland), and a degree in Agricultural Engineering from UFLA. His mission is to convert knowledge into value for the progress of the sugar-energy sector and society.
